Mr Jahangir Khanzada son of Col (R) Shuja Khanzada was born on July 8, 1977 at Peshawar. He obtained his early education from USA (California) and secured his MBA (Marketing) from Preston University, Islamabad in 2000. Being a business graduate he served as Vice President, Silk Bank during 2007-15. A politician, who remained Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 2015-18 after being elected in bye-elections against the seat fell vacant due to the assassination of his father in a suicide attack occurred in 2015. He also served as Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports; as Vice Chairman, Traffic Reforms Punjab; as Member, Cabinet Committee on Law & Order; and as Member of Committee on The Punjab Safe Cities Authority during 2016-18. He has returned to the Punjab Assembly for the second term in General Elections 2018. He has travelled to UK, China, Turkey, Jordan, Palestine, Azerbaijan and South Korea on official visits. His father also remained Member, Punjab Assembly during 2002-15 for three consecutive terms and functioned as Special Assistant to Chief Minister, Punjab, Minister for CMIT & I&C during 2002-07, Chairman, Chief Minister’s Task Forces on Agriculture and Police Training Reforms during 2008-13. He also served as Minister for Environment Protection and Minister for Home during 2014-15 till his assassination on August 16, 2015. Mr Jahangir Khanzada’s great grandfather, Capt Ajab Khan also served as Member, Indian Legislative Assembly during 1926.
