CONSIDERATION AND PASSAGE OF BILLS
1. THE PUNJAB MAINTENANCE OF PUBLIC ORDER (AMENDMENT) BILL 2016 (BILL No. 16 of 2016)
A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Maintenance of Public Order (Amendment) Bill 2016, as recommended by Standing Committee on Home Affairs, be taken into consideration at once.
A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Maintenance of Public Order (Amendment) Bill 2016, be passed.
2. THE PUNJAB POULTRY PRODUCTION BILL 2016 (BILL No. 24 of 2016)
A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Poultry Production Bill 2016, as recommended by Standing Committee on Livestock and Dairy Development, be taken into consideration at once.
A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Poultry Production Bill 2016, be passed.

Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).
Question Hour
Questions relating to Higher Education & Excise & Taxation Departments were asked and Mrs. Zakia Shah Nawaz Khan, Minister for Population Welfare (holding additional charge for Higher Education) and Mian Muhammad Munir, Parliamentary Secretary for Excise & Taxation answered the questions.
Privilege Motion
The Privilege Motion moved by Al-Haaj Muhammad Ilyas Chinioti against District Officer (Roads), Chiniot for not providing record of development funds and misbehaving with the Member concerned, was kept pending.
The Motion was answered by Rana Sana Ullah Khan, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.
Adjournment Motions
Seven Adjournment Motions were taken up. The Motion moved by Dr. Syed Waseem Akhtar regarding spread of Congo Virus in Bahawalpur resulted in death of a nurse and three doctors and that this fatal disease requires immediate treatment facilities at divisional headquarters, the Motion moved by Sheikh Allauddin regarding failure of 50 out of 73 universities/educational institutions falling in the general category to attain even half of the score set by Higher Education Commission (HEC), the Motion moved by Ms. Nabila Hakim Ali Khan regarding open sale of fake pesticides in the province despite the fact that department has right to check this irregularity as legislation is available and needs implementation by taking stern action against the culprits, the Motion moved by Ms. Saadia Sohail Rana regarding degeneration of Children Hospital Lahore, the Motion moved by Ms. Hina Pervaiz Butt regarding disclosure of the fact that Gypsyis residing in prime locations of Lahore are indulging in immoral activities as well as are involved in kidnapping and hiring children for beggary purposes and failure of police enforcement agencies and civil administration in taking action against them, the Motion moved by Mr. Ahmed Khan Bhachar regarding private academies preparing students for entry test to Medical and Dental Colleges are minting money from the parents and requires early action and the Motion moved by Mr. Amjad Ali Javed regarding identification of a factory in a native village Basti Ghulam Fareed of Bahawalnagar which is preparing artificial milk harmful for health, were kept pending.
The House was then adjourned to meet on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 9:00 a.m.
