Forging institutional linkages is critical for leveraging expertise and resources for parliamentary development. In the Provincial Assembly of Punjab, there is a need to establish strategic partnerships with local and international institutions, other parliamentary bodies, academia, and civil society organizations. These linkages will facilitate knowledge sharing, collaborative initiatives, and the implementation of best practices.
To strengthen institutional linkages, we propose forging strategic partnerships with various institutions and organizations. This includes:
1. Collaborating with educational institutions and research organizations to conduct research, develop policy recommendations, and implement innovative solutions to address societal challenges.
2. Establishing a Parliamentary Friendship Group with the UK Parliament and other international parliaments to foster bilateral relations and share best practices.
The establishment of institutional linkages will enhance the capacity of the Provincial Assembly of Punjab to address complex societal challenges. Strategic partnerships will facilitate knowledge sharing and collaborative initiatives, leading to the development of innovative policy solutions. The Parliamentary Friendship Group will promote bilateral relations and enable the sharing of best practices, thereby strengthening the overall functioning of the Assembly.
