Consequent upon the advice of the Chief Minister, Punjab to the Governor of the Punjab under clause (1) of Article 112 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab stands dissolved on 14 January 2023 at 2210 hours at the expiration of forty-eight hours after the Chief Minister has so advised.
Mr Abdul Rahman Khan son of Mr Abdul Ghafoor Khan was born on November 14, 1952 at Isakhel District Mianwali. He passed Matric in 1970 from Lawrence College, Ghora Gali, Murree. An agriculturist, who remained Member District Council during 1987-91; as Member Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 1993-96 and functioned as Minister for Jails, Reclamation & Probation Directorate as well as Advisor to Chief Minister. He has been elected as Member Provincial Assembly of the Punjab for the second term in General Elections 2018. He has travelled to France, UK, USA, India and Thailand. He belongs to a renowned political family. His sister, Ms Zakia Khan served as Member Punjab Assembly during 1977, 1985-88, 2013-18 and functioned as Minister for Social Welfare and Advisor to Chief Minister and is a sitting MPA from W-331. His brother, Mr Abdul Hafeez Khan Niazi served as Member Punjab Assembly during 2008-13 and functioned as Parliamentary Secretary for Zakat, Ushr and Bait-ul-Maal; and his another brother, Mr Abdul Razzaq Khan remained Member of Punjab Assembly during 1985-88, 2002-07 and 2013-18.
