SPECIAL COMMITTEE NO. 02
No.PAP/Legis-1(19)/2024/40. In exercise of all the powers enabling him in this behalf and pursuant to the mandate granted by the House during the sitting held on April 23, 2024, Mr Speaker has been pleased to constitute Special Committee No.02 in terms of rule 187 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997, comprising the following:
1. Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan, Speaker Convenor
2. Mr Mujtaba Shuja Ur Rehman, Minister for Finance Member
3. Mr Ahmad Khan, Leader of Opposition Member
4. Mr Sami Ullah Khan, MPA (PP-145) Member
5. Mr Aftab Ahmad Khan, MPA (PP-108) Member
6. Chaudhry Iftikhar Hussain Chhachhar, MPA (PP-187) Member
7. Mr Usama Leghari, MPA (PP-287) Member
8. Sardar Muhammad Awais Dreshak, MPA (PP-296) Member
9. Ms Sarah Ahmad, MPA (W-339) Member
10. Ms Amina Hassan MPA (W-325) Member
11. Mr Junaid Afzal Sahi, MPA (PP-98) Member
12. Sardar Mohammad Ali Khan, MPA (PP-02) Member
2. The Special Committee shall:
i) review the Rules of Procedure of Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997;
ii) propose amendments in the said Rules to bring them at par with the Rules and best practices of sister legislatures of Pakistan.
3. The Special Committee may co-opt any other Member of Provincial Assembly of the Punjab whom it may deem necessary for discharge of its functions.
4. The Special Committee shall submit its report within a period of three months.
