The Speaker of the Provincial Assembly of Punjab, Lahore, Mr. Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan, met with a delegation of 18 members from the European country Malta's cricket club, Swekky United, led by Luke Zarb. The meeting focused on promoting tourism and sports and providing better facilities for athletes. Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan highlighted Pakistan's rich historical heritage, towering mountains, and beautiful valleys, emphasizing efforts to enhance the tourism sector. He also mentioned the government's initiatives to support young athletes. Moreover, he praised Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, for revolutionary steps to improve the Pakistani women's cricket team, suggesting that Malta's women's cricket team could benefit from the experiences of their Pakistani counterparts. Luke Zarb, President of Swekky United Cricket Club, appreciated Pakistan's tourist destinations and cultural heritage, expressing high expectations for Pakistani hospitality and natural beauty. During the meeting, Secretary General Chaudhry Amer Habib and Staff Officer for Speaker Imad Hussain Bhalli from the Assembly Secretariat were also present. Later, Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan hosted a reception for the delegation.
