WINDING UP OF GENERAL DISCUSSION ON ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE YEAR 2024-25
|
Mr Mujtaba Shuja Ur Rehman, Minister for Finance, concluded general discussion on annual budget. In his wind up speech, he responded to the queries raised by the Members during four days’ general discussion. He also thanked Members who participated in it and media for highlighting salient features of the budget. |
MOTION FOR ELECTION OF THE STANDING COMMITTEES OF THE ASSEMBLY

On a motion moved by Mr Mujtaba Shuja Ur Rehman, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, the Assembly elected Standing Committees of the Assembly in terms of Rule 150 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997, comprising the Members whose list was placed on the table of the House. |

Discussion and Voting on Demands for Grants for the Year 2024-2025
Out of 41 Demands for Grants for the fiscal year 2024-2025, cut motions were received in seven Demands from the Opposition Members; these Demands include: Provincial Excise, Irrigation and Land Reclamation, Police, Education, Health Services, Agriculture and Roads & Bridges. The Minister for Finance moved the selected Demands for Grants. Cut motions were moved in them and discussed by Mr Farrukh Javed, Mr Aftab Ahmad Khan, Mr Shahab Ud Din Khan, Chaudhry Muhammad Ejaz Shafi, Sardar Muhammad Ali Khan, Mr Muhammad Ismael, Mr Imtiaz Mehmood, Mr Kaleem Ullah Khan, Mr Muhammad Nadeem Qureshi, Ms Nadia Khar, Mr Faisal Jamil, Mr Mushtaq Ahmad, Mr Khalid Javed, Mr Muhammad Athar Maqbool, Mr Zulfiqar Ali, Mr Khurram Ijaz, MPAs. The cut motions were voted out and the Demands for Grants were assented to by the Assembly.
The remaining Demands for Grants were assented to by the House after application of Rule 144 of the Rules of Procedure of Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997. |
