Questions relating to Industries, Commerce & Investment Department were asked and answered by Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal, the concerned Minister.
Laying of Reports
Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs presented before the House the report of Special Committee No.12 in respect of the following:
1. The Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace (Amendment) Bill 2020 (Bill No.44 of 2020)
2. The Punjab Panah Gah Authority Bill 2021 (Bill No.1 of 2021)
Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs laid before the House the following reports, which were referred to the Public Accounts Committee No. II, with the directions to examine and report within one year:
(i) The Performance Audit Report on Tehsil Headquarter Hospital Khushab for the Audit Year 2018-19.
(ii) The Performance Audit Report on Establishment of Government Aziz Bibi Hospital Roshan Bheela District Kasur for the Audit Year 2018-19.
Ms. Asia Amjad presented before the House the reports of Standing Committee on Higher Education in respect of the following:
1. The University of Central Punjab (Amendment) Bill 2021 (Bill No.81 of 2021);
2. The University of Rawalpindi Bill 2021 (Bill No.82 of 2021);
3. The University of Arts & Sciences Bill 2021 (Bill No.83 of 2021);
4. The Nur International University Lahore (Amendment) Bill 2021 (Bill No.84 of 2021); and
5. The Salar International University Bill 2021 (Bill No.85 of 2021).
Zero Hour
Two Zero Hour Notices were taken up. The Notice of Mr Muhammad Abdullah Warraich moved on 19-11-2021 regarding explosion at a fireworks factory in Makoana, Faisalabad injuring three workers and killing one female. Such incidents keep on happening in different areas of Faisalabad but no security measures had yet been taken by the concerned government departments, was kept pending. The second Notice of Mr Sami Ullah Khan moved on 22-06-2021 that the approved project of Ring Road Rawalpindi was changed by the administration to favour owners of many private housing schemes and politicians hence, bringing a loss of Rs.25 billion to the national exchequer, was disposed of after replied by Malik Taimoor Masood, Parliamentary Secretary for Housing, Urban Development & Public Health Engineering.
Adjournment Motions
Two Adjournment Motions were taken up. The Adjournment Motion moved by Ms Neelum Hayat Malik that some colleges and institutions had become a rolling stone between the Higher Education Commission and the Higher Education Department to achieve personal interests and Sahara Foundation was one of such institutions, where more than two thousand students were studying. This institution was affiliated with Nursing Council UHS, PMC, Pharmacy Council and GC University, Faisalabad and despite submission of all the documents it was neither inspected nor any committee was constituted and the second Adjournment Motion moved by Chaudhry Akhtar Ali regarding payment of group insurance with accrued profit to all Government servants of Punjab on their retirement as it is practiced in three Provinces of Pakistan, were referred to Special Committee No.12 with the directions to submit their reports within two months.

General Discussion on Agriculture was on the agenda but could not be taken up due to shortage of time.
