Laying of the Supplementary Schedule of Authorized Expenditure for the year 2018-19.
Minister for Finance laid the Supplementary Schedule of Authorized Expenditure for the year 2018-19.
Sardar Usman Ahmed Khan Buzdar, Chief Minister, Punjab addressed the House and congratulated the Members on passing the first Budget, presented by the PTI Government. He paid gratitude to the Members who participated whole heartedly in the budget session. He apprised the House that the development programmes for the poor would be the mainstream of the first budget. The underlying vision of the budget was to promote austerity and government had cut down its expenditure starting from the CM office. He further added that 35% amount of the budget had been allocated for the south Punjab which would not be re-appropriated and it was historical. He threw light on different initiatives taken by the current government in this budget, for instance, introducing Agri Card, Health Card, setting up 115 new Land Record Centers, Extension of 1122 Service to all sub-divisional headquarters and formulating policies for all Departments of the Punjab.
The Speaker then adjourned the House sine die.
