Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).
Panel of Chairmen:-
The Secretary Assembly announced the Panel of Chairmen for the session, as envisaged in Rule 13 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997. The names of the Panel, in order of precedence, are as under: −
1. Mehr Ishtiaq Ahmad, MPA (PP-150)
2. Dr. Asad Ashraf, MPA (PP-138)
3. Lt. Col (R) Muhammad Shabbir Awan, (PP-2)
4. Syeda Majida Zaidi, MPA (W-352)
Fateha:-
The House offered fateha on the sad demise of Mian Muhammad Azeem Daultana, Parliamentary Secretary for Information, Hazrat Pir Syed Mardan Shah, Arifa Karim Randhawa, Mukaryam Khan and for the victims of Khanpur bomb blast.
Question Hour: −
Questions relating to School Education Department were asked and answered by Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, Minister for Excise and Taxation (holding additional charge).
Call Attention Notices:-
The Call Attention Notice moved by Mrs Ayesha Javed regarding dacioty occurred in the jewellery shop located at Hafizabad City plundering gold worth hundred million rupees and the other notice moved by Engineer Javed Akbar Dhillion regarding bomb blast explosion at the Chehlum procession of Shias at District Rahim Yar Khan, killing 20 and injuring 30 people were kept pending due to the absence of the Minister concerned.
