Ch Liaqat Ali Khan son of Ch Nazar Muhammad was born on July 21, 1950 at Chakwal. He was elected as Councillor, Municipal Committee Chakwal in 1983 and served as such till 1985. An agriculturist and a transporter, who remained Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 1985-88, 1988- 90, 1990-93, 1993-96 and 1997-99 and functioned as Parliamentary Secretary for Livestock & Dairy Development during 1988-90. He is the most senior among few sitting parliamentarians of the Punjab Assembly and has returned to the Assembly for the sixth term in general elections 2013. He has travelled to UK, UAE and Saudi Arabia. His wife, Mrs Iffat Liaqat Ali Khan was Member, Punjab Assembly during 2008-13 and is a sitting MNA.
