Mrs Parveen Akhtar wife of Mian Atta Muhammad Khan Maneka was born on January 1, 1957 at Okara. A house wife, who has been elected as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in general elections 2013 against one of the seats reserved for women. She has visited Saudi Arabia, UK, Dubai, and India. Her husband, remained Member, National Assembly during 1989-90; as Member, Punjab Assembly during 1993-96 (functioned as Minister for Education); 2002-07, 2008-13 and is a sitting MPA and functioning as Minister for Religious Affairs & Auqaf.
