The sitting commenced with recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation, followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool ﷺ.

The House adopted amendments in the Rules of Procedure of Procedure of Provincial Assembly of the Punjab moved by Mr Sami ullah Khan.

·         The resolution from Ms Sarah Ahmed could not be taken up as the mover was absent.

·         Ms Motiya Begum moved a resolution that Baba Farid University be established in Pakpattan. The resolution was adopted by the House.

·         Ms Zarnab Sher moved a resolution that steps should be taken to build a school under Danish School System on the donated land in village Dhok Nawan Lok of District Mandi Bahauddin. The resolution was adopted by the House.

General Discussion on (i) Wheat Procurement; and (ii) Law & Order Situation was on the list of business, however, discussion held on wheat procurement only. Minister for Food, Mr Bilal Yaseen opened the debate. He informed the House about the policy of the Government regarding wheat procurement by the Food Department.
