CONSIDERATION AND PASSAGE OF BILLS
1. THE PUNJAB LOCAL GOVERNMENT (AMENDMENT) BILL 2017 (BILL No. 06 of 2017)
A MINISTER to move that the requirements of Rule 95 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997 may be dispensed with under Rule 234 of the said rules, for immediate consideration and passage of the Punjab Local Government (Amendment) Bill 2017.
A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Local Government (Amendment) Bill 2017, as recommended by Standing Committee on Local Government and Community Development, be taken into consideration at once.
A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Local Government (Amendment) Bill 2017, be passed.
2. THE PUNJAB DRUGS (AMENDMENT) BILL 2017 (BILL No. 02 of 2017)
A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Drugs (Amendment) Bill 2017, as recommended by Standing Committee on Health, be taken into consideration at once.
A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Drugs (Amendment) Bill 2017, be passed.
3. THE PUNJAB LAND RECORDS AUTHORITY BILL 2016 (BILL No. 46 of 2016)
A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Land Records Authority Bill 2016, as recommended by Standing Committee on Revenue, Relief and Consolidation, be taken into consideration at once.
A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Land Records Authority Bill 2016, be passed.
4. THE UNIVERSITY OF HOME ECONOMICS LAHORE BILL 2016 (BILL No. 38 of 2016)
A MINISTER to move that the University of Home Economics Lahore Bill 2016, as recommended by Standing Committee on Education, be taken into consideration at once.
A MINISTER to move that the University of Home Economics Lahore Bill 2016, be passed.

Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool ﷺ.
Question Hour
Questions relating to Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal and Agriculture Departments were asked and Haji Muhammad Ilyas Ansari, Parliamentary Secretary for Bait-ul-Maal & Social Welfare and Mr. Muhammad Naeem Akhtar Khan Bhabha, Minister for Agriculture answered the questions.
Privilege Motions
Two Privilege Motions were taken up. The Privilege Motion moved by Ms. Sobia Anwar Satti was against Sardar Ghias Gul, Ex S.P, Sadar, Rawalpindi who blamed without evidence and proof the member concerned for providing shelter to the criminals and dacoits in one of the inquiry being inquired by him against Mr Asif, Police Inspector was referred to the Committee on Privileges with the direction to submit its report within two weeks. The Privilege Motion moved by Syed Muhammad Mahfooz Mashahdi regarding DCO, Mandi Bahauddin who kept waiting for long four hours members of the Provincial Assembly including the member concerned in his office despite confirmation by the officer that he is reaching his office within 30 minutes to meet the members, was kept pending till next week.
The Motions were answered by Rana Sana Ullah Khan, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.
Adjournment Motions
Two Adjournment Motions were taken up. The Motion moved by Ms. Shunila Ruth regarding sale of 43 lacs liters milk in the markets of Lahore while there is production of 30 lacs liters milk in Lahore and its whereabouts and inability of Livestock and Local Government Departments to trace out from where excessive 13 lacs liters milk is arriving in the markets of Lahore and the other Motion moved by Dr. Muhammad Afzal regarding sale of cooking oil manufactured from the leftovers of meat, were kept pending till next week.

Suspension of Rules
The House granted leave on a motion moved by Rana Sana Ullah Khan, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs that the requirements of Rule 95 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997 may be dispensed with under Rule 234 of the rules ibid, for immediate consideration and passage of the Punjab Local Government (Amendment) Bill 2017 (Bill No.6 of 2017).

Extension in Time Limit for Laying the Reports
On a Motion moved by Ms. Madiha Khan, the House granted two months extension to the Standing Committee on Colonies for laying its reports on “Starred Question Nos. 4,2477,3254,3529,3690,4400,6437,6778,6779,6950,6960,7761,7991 and 7995 and Un-Starred Question Nos.407,594,718 and1245”.
The House was then adjourned at 02:57 p.m. to meet on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.
