Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).

Question Hour

Questions relating to Prisons and Special Education Departments were asked and Mr. Asif Saeed Manais, Minister for Special Education and Mr. Ali Asghar Manda, Parliamentary Secretary for S&GAD answered the questions.

Privilege Motion

The Privilege Motion moved by Mr. Muhammad Arif Abbasi regarding misbehavior of Mr. Nasir Mumtaz, Chowki Incharge, Airport Society with the member concerned, was kept pending.

The Motion was answered by Ch. Nazar Hussain, Parliamentary Secretary for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.

Adjournment Motion

The Adjournment Motion moved by Ch. Aamir Sultan Cheema that Postgraduate Medical Institute had been receiving additional fee from students on their admission in the name of processing fee since 12 years, was disposed of.

The Motion was answered by Ch. Nazar Hussain, Parliamentary Secretary for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.

Private Members Day

Resolutions pending from February 9, 2016 agenda

1.    Ch. Aamir Sultan Cheema  moved a resolution to ensure implementation of ban on the slaughtering of animals outside slaughter houses, was disposed of.

2.    Ms. Hina Pervaiz Butt demanded through a resolution that the federal government may appoint female staff in NADRA and Passport offices to facilitate female citizens especially for taking their photographs, was passed by the House.

Present Resolutions

1.    Mr. Muhammad Sibtain Khan moved a resolution that government should ensure the provision of Ventilators at all Hospitals of the Province, was disposed of.

2.    The Resolution moved by Ch. Aamir Sultan Cheema demanding immediate closure and strict action against illegal Patrol Agencies in the Punjab, was disposed.

3.    The Resolution moved by Ms. Shunila Ruth demanding the Federal Government to print word “Masih” instead of “Christian” on the birth, marriage and death certificates issued by NADRA, was disposed of.

4.    The Resolution moved by Mr. Ramesh Singh Arora regarding issuance of postage stamps on 547 Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, was passed by the House.

5.    Rana Munawar Hussain alias Rana Munawar Ghous Khan moved a resolution to take steps/measures for the treatment and prevention of Hepatitis in District Rajanpur and Dera Gazi Khan and establish Hepatitis centers in District Headquarters Hospitals of these districts where free of cost injections and medicines should be available to the patients, was kept pending.

The House was then adjourned till Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 10:00 am.
