A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Safe Cities Authority Bill 2015, as recommended by Standing Committee on Home Affairs, be taken into consideration at once.
A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Safe Cities Authority Bill 2015, be passed.
2. THE PUNJAB SPECIAL PROTECTION UNIT BILL 2015 (BILL No. 42 of 2015)
A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Special Protection Unit Bill 2015, as recommended by Standing Committee on Home Affairs, be taken into consideration at once.

Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).
Question Hour
Questions relating to Higher Education Department were asked and Ms. Mehwish Sultana, Parliamentary Secretary for Higher Education answered the questions.
Extension in Time Limit for Laying the Report
On a Motion moved by Mr. Waheed Asghar Dogar, the House granted one year extension to the Public Accounts Committee-I for laying its reports in respect of “The Reports of Auditor General of Pakistan on the Expenditure of Government of Punjab for the year 2002-03, 2003-04, and 2004-05, 2008-09”, 2010-11 and 2012-13”.
Call Attention Notices
Two Call Attention notices were taken up. The Call Attention Notice moved by Ms. Faiza Ahmad Malik regarding murder on resistance of a security Incharge naming Noor of a Rice Mill located at Kot Kizra, Gujranwala and looting Rs.5 million during a dacoity near Lohianwala by-pass, was kept pending till next week and the other Notice moved by Malik Taimoor Masood regarding killing of Malik Tahir and injuring Zaheer by the unknown people at Wah Cantt, Rawalpindi, was disposed of.
The Notices were answered by Rana Sana Ullah Khan, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.
Privilege Motions
Three Privilege Motions were taken up. The Motion moved by Mr. Muhammad Arif Abbasi regarding misbehavior of Nasir Mumtaz, Chowki Incharge of Airport Society with the member concerned, was kept pending. The second Motion moved by Sardar Shahab-ud-Din Khan regarding misbehavior of Ms Tahira Chishtti, E.D.O, Education, Layyah with the member concerned and the last Motion moved by Mr. Muhammad Nasir Cheema regarding misbehavior of Dr. Rizwan, SP, Sadar, Gujranwala and Malik Mazhar Khokhar, SHO, Ahmadnagar who arrested the member despite of the availability of “Bail before Arrest” were referred to the Committee on Privileges with the direction to submit their reports within two months.
The Motions were answered by Ch. Nazar Hussain, Parliamentary Secretary for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.
Adjournment Motion
The Adjournment Motion moved by Mr. Javed Akhtar regarding illegal possession of Government land located at Mouza Rukh Bhatti Maitla by influential people and inability of Government to eject the land from illegal occupation, was disposed of.
The Motion was answered by Ch. Nazar Hussain, Parliamentary Secretary for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.

Introduction of Bill
Rana Sana Ullah Khan, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs introduced “THE PUNJAB PUBLIC REPRESENTATIVES’ LAW (AMENDMENT) BILL 2016” which was referred to the Standing Committee on Law & Parliamentary Affairs with the direction to submit its report within one week.
Consideration and Passage of Bills
Rana Sana Ullah Khan, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs moved the following Bills which were passed by the House:
1. THE PUNJAB SAFE CITIES AUTHORITY BILL 2015 (BILL No. 35 of 2015); and
2. THE PUNJAB SPECIAL PROTECTION UNIT BILL 2015 (BILL No. 42 of 2015),
The House was then adjourned till Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at 10:00 am.
