Sardar Sher Ali Gorchani, Acting Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).
Fatheh
The House offered Fatheh on the sad demise of husband of Mrs. Shameela Aslam, MPA and mother of Ch. Amjad Ali Javaid, MPA.
Question Hour
Questions relating to Transport and Planning & Development Departments were asked and Mr. Muhammad Nawaz Chohan, Parliamentary Secretary for Transport and
Mr. Ahmad Karim Qaswar Langrial, Parliamentary Secretary for Planning & Development answered the questions.
Laying of Reports
Ch. Muhammad Iqbal presented the reports of Committee on Privileges in respect of “Privilege Motions No. 9 for the year 2013, 7, 23, 24, 28, 29, 30 and 33 for the year 2014” before the House.
Ch. Aamir Sultan Cheema presented the report of Standing Committee on Housing, Urban Development and Public Health Engineering in respect of “The Parks and Horticulture Authority (Amendment) Bill 2014 (Bill No. 31 of 2014)” before the House.
Ch Muhammad Akram presented the reports of Standing Committee on Education before the House in respect of “The NUR International University Lahore Bill 2014 (Bill No. 25 of 2014)” and The Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board Bill 2014 (Bill No. 26 of 2014).
Major (Retd) Moeen Nawaz Warriach presented the report of Standing Committee on Home Affairs before the House in respect of “The Punjab Strategic Coordination (Amendment) Bill 2014 (Bill No. 33 of 2014)”.
Privilege Motion
The Privilege Motion moved by Mr. Ghazanfar Abbas Cheena regarding misbehavior of Mr Zaman Wattoo, DCO, Bhakkar with the member concerned was referred to the Committee on Privileges with the direction to submit its report within one month.
The Motion was answered by Ch. Nazar Hussain, Parliamentary Secretary for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.
Adjournment Motions
Eight Adjournment Motions were taken up. The Motion moved by Ms Hina Pervaiz Butt to put ban on entry test to get admission in Medical or Engineering Colleges, when transparent Examination system of F.A/F.Sc is already available and this examination system becomes valueless after entry test is conducted by the Government which is a burden on students and their parents, therefore either examination system should be banned or entry test should be discontinued, the Motion moved by Sardar Vickas Hassan Mokal regarding dacoity occurred during day time at fertilizer store at Chowk Allahabad Kasur and looting millions of rupees at gun point and seriously injuring an employee and occurrence of such dacoities during day time has become a routine in the area on daily basis and inability of police to arrest the culprits, the Motion moved by Khadija Umar regarding violation of building bye-laws and inability of concerned departments of Punjab to get them implemented as a result buildings are being constructed without approval of outlay and design and acquiring NOC from the concerned departments and no action is being taken against the violators were kept pending till next week. The Motion moved by Mian Tariq Mehmood regarding stoppage of water supply by the influential people at Chak No.69/RB Rehmanpura of Tehsil Jaranwala, District Faisalabad after forcibly occupying the area where water reservoir was located, the Motion moved by Ch Ashraf Ali Ansari regarding closure of Angiography Department in DHQ Hospital, Gujranwala and selling angiography machine installed there to a private company on the direction of Health Commission thus compelling patients to go for private tests after paying heavy fee, the Government should take steps to facilitate patients rather to disturb them, two Motions moved by Ch. Aamir Sultan Cheema, one regarding silent auction of Auqaf property worth billions of rupees in Sargodha and other Tehsils of Punjab without observing provisions of auction rules and awarding contracts to favorable contractors, the second Motion regarding corruption of more than two billion rupees from development funds by the officers of Punjab, Irrigation Department at Barala Branch Faisalabad and non-initiation of action against the culprits even after the lapse of three months, the motion moved by Ms Khadija Umar regarding non-enactment of quality control laws and rules for the past seven years by the Punjab Fisheries Department to check and inspect supply of fish in the market according to the principles of health were disposed of.

Raja Ashfaq Sarwar, Minister for Labour & Human Resource introduced the following Ordinances in the House which were referred to the Standing Committee on Home Affairs with the direction to submit its reports within two months.
