Rai Muhammad Usman Khan Kharal son of Rai Arif Hussain Khan was born in 1972 at Faisalabad and graduated in 1995 from University of the Punjab, Lahore. He served as Nazim, Union Council No.63 Faisalabad during 2001-02. An agriculturist, who has been elected as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in general elections 2013 and has been functioning as Chairman, House Committee since 11 September 2017. He has travelled to USA and UK. He belongs to a prominent political family which has representation in the parliaments since even before partition. His great-grandfather, Khan Sahib Rai Ameer Khan remained Member of Punjab Legislative Council during 1921-23; Rai Anwar Khan younger brother of his grandfather, served as Member, Punjab Legislative Assembly during 1946-47; and his father, remained Member of Provincial Assembly of West Pakistan during 1965-69; as Member, Punjab Assembly during 1977; and as Member, National Assembly during 1985-88 and 1993-96 and served as Chairman, Standing Committee on Railways during 1993. His uncle, Rai Umer Hayat Khan remained Member, Punjab Assembly during 1972-77; another uncle of him, Rai Sarfraz Kharal was Member of Majlis-e-Shoora during 1982-83; and his cousins, Rai Ijaz Hussain and Rai Muhammad Aslam Khan were Members of Punjab Assembly during 2008-13. His grandfather, Khan Sahib Rai Sikandar Khan served as Member, Reconciliation Board during 1937.
