Ch Sarfraz Afzal son of Ch Muhammad Afzal was born on July 11, 1975 in Rawalpindi. A businessman, who graduated in 2002 from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan. He has served Nazim, Union Council Rawalpindi during 2002-05. He is Chief Editor of Daily “Aatish” Islamabad. He remained Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 2008-13 and served as Political Assistant to Chief Minister during 2009-13. He has returned to the Punjab Assembly for the second consecutive term in bye-elections held on August 22, 2013 against the seat vacated by Ch Nisar Ali Khan, who had won both National and Provincial seats and had opted for NA seat. He is functioning as Parliamentary Secretary for Youth Affairs, Sports, Archaeology and Tourism w.e.f. 22 February 2017. He has travelled to United Kingdom and UAE. His father served as Chairman, District Council Rawalpindi during 1997-99. His uncle, Ch Tanveer Khan served as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 1993-95 and 1997-99. His brother-in-law, Raja Arshad Mehmood has also served as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 2002-07.
