Mrs Abida Javed wife of Khalifa Javed Akbar was born on April 1, 1952 in Lahore. She obtained the degree of M.A. (Islamic Studies) in 1975 from University of the Punjab, Lahore. She was declared best athlete of University of the Punjab during 1974-75; and was also Game President (female) during 1974-75. A social worker, who served as Councillor Metropolitan Corporation, Lahore during 1998; and has been elected as Member Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in General Elections 2002 against one of the seats reserved for women.
