Brig (Retd) Javed Akram, Sitara-e-Imtiaz son of Ch Muhammad Akram was born on December 4, 1948. He was commissioned in Pakistan Army in 1970; graduated from Pakistan Command and Staff College Quetta in 1980; and retired in 1998. He was awarded Sitar-e-Imtiaz by the President of Pakistan. He also functioned as Managing Director WASA during 1998-99. He served as Nazim Union Council during 2001 and also as Member Public Safety Commission, Toba Tek Singh. Now an agriculturist, who has been elected as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in General Elections 2002 as an independent candidate, and is functioning as Parliamentary Secretary for Provincial Professional Managment Development since January 3, 2004.
