Mr Saeed Akbar Khan son of Mr Ghulam Akbar Khan was born on June 8, 1955 at Bhakkar. He obtained the degree of M.A. in 1985 from University of the Punjab, Lahore. An agriculturist, who has successively been elected as Member Punjab Assembly since 1985. He functioned as Parliamentary Secretary during 1985, Advisor to Chief Minister during 1986-88; as Provincial Minister during 1988 and 1993-96. He has returned to Punjab Assembly for the sixth consesctive term in bye-elections 2003 against the seat vacated by Mr Muhammad Sana Ullah Khan, who took oath as MNA; and is functioning as Minister for Prisons since November 24, 2003. He has travelled to Saudi Arabia, France, Switzerland, England, USA, Canada and Germany in connection with his parliamentary assignments. His brother, Mr Rashid Akbar Khan, remained MNA during 1988, 1993-96 and is a sitting MNA.
