Mr Manazir Hussain Ranjha son of Mr Muzaffar Ali Ranjha was born on August 15, 1954 at Sargodha. He obtained the degree of LL.B. in 1976 from University of the Punjab, Lahore. An agriculturist, who served as Member Zila Council Sargodha during 1979-83 and 1983-87; and as Chairman Markiz Council Kotmomin during 1980-83. He remained Member Punjab Assembly during 1985-88, 1990-93 and 1993-96; functioned as Deputy Speaker during 1985-88 and again during 199093; as Acting Speaker, Punjab Assembly; as Minister for Health and Revenue; as member, PAC during 1993; and as Chairman Privilege Committee during 1993-96. He participated in Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Conference held in 1992 in Trinidad, Tobago as representative of Punjab Assembly. He has been elected for the fourth term as Member Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in General Elections 2002, and functioning as Minister for Colonies since January 4, 2003.
