Consequent upon the advice of the Chief Minister, Punjab to the Governor of the Punjab under clause (1) of Article 112 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab stands dissolved on 14 January 2023 at 2210 hours at the expiration of forty-eight hours after the Chief Minister has so advised.

Personal Career & Interests

Ms Khadija Umar wife of Mr Umar Saeed was born on August 29, 1975 in Rawalpindi. She graduated in 1998 from University of the Punjab, Gujrat. She served as Councillor, Gujrat during 2001-03; remained Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 2002-07, 2008-13 and 2014-18. She has returned to Punjab Assembly for the fourth consecutive term in General Elections 2018 against one of the seats reserved for women. She is serving as Member Syndicate, Government College Women University, Sialkot; University of Gujrat; Information Technology University, Lahore; as Member Senate, King Edward Medical University, Lahore; as Member, Finance Body, Danish Schools; as Member, Healthcare Commission; and as Member Rescue 1122 Service. She has extensively travelled abroad. Her mother, Mrs Shahana Farooqi was also a Member of Punjab Assembly during 1988-90 and her sister, Ms Rabia Naseem Farooqi is a sitting MPA from W-351.
