Consequent upon the advice of the Chief Minister, Punjab to the Governor of the Punjab under clause (1) of Article 112 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab stands dissolved on 14 January 2023 at 2210 hours at the expiration of forty-eight hours after the Chief Minister has so advised.

Ms Rahat Afza wife of Mr Muhammad Rafique was born on January 4, 1959 in Lahore and is an Intermediate. A politician and a social worker, who remained Councillor, Union Council and has been elected as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in General Elections 2018 against one of the seats reserved for women. She served as Member, Advisory Committee for Chief Minister’s Complaint Cell; as Liaison Officer of Home Department (Prisons); as Member, Sub Divisional Khidmat Committee; and as General Secretary Punjab, National Peace Committee for Interfaith Harmony.
