Consequent upon the advice of the Chief Minister, Punjab to the Governor of the Punjab under clause (1) of Article 112 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab stands dissolved on 14 January 2023 at 2210 hours at the expiration of forty-eight hours after the Chief Minister has so advised.
Mrs Saba Sadiq Advocate wife of Mr Saqib Usman Khan was born on January 7, 1966 in Lahore. She obtained the degree of LL.B. in 1991 and that of M.A (Political Science) in 2001 from University of the Punjab, Lahore. She served as Councillor, Lahore Metropolitan Corporation during 1992-94 and 1998-99. A practicing lawyer, who served as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 2002-07 and also functioned as Advisor to Chief Minister and as Chairperson, Punjab Social Services Board. She was also a Member of Public Accounts Committee. She returned to the Punjab Assembly for the second term in 2008 and then for the third term in 2013. She served as Political Assistant to Chief Minister for two consecutive terms during 2008-18; as Chairperson, Child Protection Bureau during 2013-18; as Honorary Professor, University of the Punjab, Lahore during 2003-05; and as Executive Member, Lahore High Court Bar Association. She has been re-elected as Member Punjab Assembly for the fourth consecutive term in General Elections 2018 against one of the seats reserved for women. She has visited USA, UK, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia and Thailand.
