Consequent upon the advice of the Chief Minister, Punjab to the Governor of the Punjab under clause (1) of Article 112 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab stands dissolved on 14 January 2023 at 2210 hours at the expiration of forty-eight hours after the Chief Minister has so advised.
Ms Seemabia Tahir wife of Mr Tahir Mehmood was born on May 23, 1976 in Rawalpindi. She obtained the degree of M.Ed in 2003 from Al-Khair University, Rawalpindi. A politician, who has been elected as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in General Elections 2018 against one of the seats reserved for women. Being in a teaching profession she served as Lecturer in Al-Khair University during 2003-14. She is serving as Member, Syndicate University of Engineering & Technology Taxila; as Member, SDGs Task Force Punjab; as Member, Health Infant Board Punjab; as Member, Strategic Planning and Oversight Committee of Punjab Assembly; as Member, Women Empowerment and Development Punjab; and as Member, Social Welfare (People with Disability) Punjab and Heading its Sub-Committee on Awareness Campaign. She is a social media activist who is a spokesperson for Punjab Government.
