Consequent upon the advice of the Chief Minister, Punjab to the Governor of the Punjab under clause (1) of Article 112 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab stands dissolved on 14 January 2023 at 2210 hours at the expiration of forty-eight hours after the Chief Minister has so advised.

Personal Career & Interests

Ms Talath Fatemeh Naqvi daughter of Syed Jafer Naqvi was born on February 27, 1960 in Karachi. She graduated in 1981 from Saint Joseph’s College, Karachi. A journalist, who worked both in print and electronic media, has been elected as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in General Elections 2018 against one of the seats reserved for women. She worked on cultural heritage, humanitarian and sports issues. She has authored a book titled “Honour Killings” on Karokari. She has travelled to USA, Netherlands, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia on official and personal trips.
