Consequent upon the advice of the Chief Minister, Punjab to the Governor of the Punjab under clause (1) of Article 112 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab stands dissolved on 14 January 2023 at 2210 hours at the expiration of forty-eight hours after the Chief Minister has so advised.

Personal Career & Interests

Malik Mukhtar Ahmad son of Khawaja Muhammad Ashraf was born in 1953 at Kharaiper Sharif and is a matriculate. He remained Member, District Council Kasur during 1983-87 and 1987-91; and as Tehsil Nazim, Chunian during 2003-05. He served as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab for four terms during 1985-88, 1988-90, 1990-93 and 1997-99. An agriculturist, who has been elected as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab for the fifth term in General Elections 2018. His uncle, Ch. Sibghat Ullah remained Member Punjab Assembly during 2002-07 and functioned as Chairman, Standing Committee on Finance.
