Mrs Khadija Umar wife of Mr Umar Saeed was born on August 29, 1975 in Rawalpindi. She graduated in 1998 from Marghazar College, Gujrat and also obtained Diploma in Interior Designing in 2000 from National College of Arts, Lahore. She served as Councillor, Gujrat during 2001-03; remained Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 2002-07 and 2008-13. She has returned to Punjab Assembly for the third consecutive term in bye elections 2014 against one of the seats reserved for women and took oath as Member, Punjab Assembly on May 16, 2014. She has travelled to Dubai, Norway, Thailand and India. Her mother, Mrs Shahana Farooqi was also a Member of Punjab Assembly during 1988-90. Initially, Mrs Samina Khawar Hayat was elected against this seat and on her disqualification, Mrs Jaeyda Khalid Khan was elected, who resigned on March 8, 2014 and Mrs Khadija Umar was got elected.
