Mrs Seemal Kamran wife of Mr Kamran Bashir was born at Sargodha. She holds postgraduate degree in Political Science and is a business lady. She involved herself in practical politics in the year 2000 and remained Member, City District Council, Lahore during 2005-09. She has been elected to Provincial Assembly of the Punjab against one of the seats reserved for women which fell vacant due to the death of Ms Ghazala Farhat. Mrs Seemal Kamran belongs to an agrarian family. Her forefathers took active part in the movement of independence of Pakistan and many of her relatives are serving the nation as politicians and civil servants. She has travelled to UAE
