Rana Asif Mahmood son of Rana Taj Mahmood was born on July 30, 1954 at Sialkot. He graduated from Murray College, Sialkot in 1975, and thereafter obtained the degree of LL.B. in 1981 from Islamia Law College, Karachi. A businessman and a consultant, who has been elected as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in general elections 2008 against one of the seats reserved for non-muslim minorities.
