Mrs Ayesha Javed wife of Mr Javed Iqbal was born at Abbottabad. She obtained the degree of MA (Political Science) in 1996 from University of the Punjab, Lahore. She served as Chairperson Chief Minister’s Task Force on Human Rights during 2006-07, as Editor of English Magazine “Al-Nisa” Command and Staff College, Quetta during 1992 and as columnist in the daily “Din” and the daily “Pakistan” during 2005-07. She is lauded with the completion of the “Leadership Course” conducted by the liberal German Organization, FNF in Gummersbarh, Germany and as an active alumni. She has been elected as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in general elections 2008 against one of the seats reserved for women. She has visited USA, Russia, China, Norway, UK, Spain, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia and Germany. Her father served as Ambassador to Libya and Spain during 1990-92 and 1997-99 respectively; and her husband functioned as Military Secretary to Prime Minister during 1998-99.
