Mrs Shabina Riaz wife of Mr Ahmed Riaz Sheikh was born in Lahore. She graduated in Business Administration and served as Resident Director at an institute of Information Technology. She was elected as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in general elections 2008 against one of the seats reserved for women and is functioning as Chairperson, Standing Committee on Social Welfare, Women Development and Bait-ul-Maal. She is also serving as Member Syndicate, Lahore College University for Women, as Member, Foreign Liasion Committee and as Member, Board of Governors, Child Protection Bureau. She writes articles for various newspapers regularly and actively participates in political and social activities. She has travelled to USA, UK, France, Germany, Holland, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Canada.
