Dr Zamurad Yasmin Rana wife of Engineer Rana Muhammad Saeed Akhtar was born in Lahore. She obtained the degree of MBBS in 1990 from Rawalpindi Medical College, Rawalpindi and attended full course of postgraduation (D.G.O) during 2006-07 from Postgraduate Medical Institute. She served as House Surgeon Doctor, Lady Wallington Hospital, Lahore during 1990-91; as Registrar, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Lahore during 1991-93 and as WMO doctor during 1995-97, Red Crescent Hospital, Lahore during 1993-94. A publication published in 2004 in journal “Medical Apex” is also to her credit. A medical doctor, who served as Member, District Assembly, Sheikhupura during 2005-08 and has been elected as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in general elections 2008 against one of the seats reserved for women
