Personal Career & Interests

Major (Retd) Abdul Rehman Rana son of Rana Abdul Sattar (late) was born on September 1, 1945 at Jallundhar, . He was commissioned in and graduated from Pakistan Army in 1968 from Pakistan Military Academy Kakul and retired in 1988. He served as GM in Army Welfare Food Industry during 1988-94; as Chairman Bait-ul-Mal during 1994-96; and as Co-ordinating Officer to Prime Minister (Monitoring Cell) during 1997-99. He was elected Tehsil Nazim, Jaranwala and served as such during 2001-05. He is a member of Punjab Irrigation and Drainage Authority since 2002 and is also serving as Chief Warden, Civil Defense Organization for Faisalabad District. He has been elected as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in general elections 2008. His wife, Dr Tasneem Rasheed was a Member of Punjab Assembly during 2002-07.
