Chaudhry Tahir Ahmed Sandhu son of Chaudhry Muhammad Azam Sandhu was born on June 6, 1960 at Sargodha. He graduated in law from University of the Punjab in the year 1985. He joined the civil service in the year 1985 and resigned in the year 2005, while serving as Deputy District Officer (Revenue) Sialkot (formerly known as Assistant Commissioner, Sialkot). He did his Master of Laws (LL.M.) during 2001-03 from University of the Punjab, Lahore. His specialized areas are Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Company Law and International Economic Law. Presently, he is practicing law as an Advocate, High Court and is the Managing Partner of JAVED, FAKHAR & TAHIR, Advocates, Solicitors and Legal Consultants (a law firm). He is also a Member of Visiting Faculty, PunjabUniversityLawCollege, University of the Punjab. He is the President of “JUSTICE FOR ALL” (a Society registered under the Societies Registration Act). Presently, he is functioning as Chairman, Standing Committee on Local Government and Rural Develepment. His elder brother Chaudhry Fakhar Iqbal Sandhu and his younger brother Chaudhry Zahid Iqbal Sandhu were also Members of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 2002-07.
