Notification of Dissolution of Standing Committee on Population Welfare And Change of Nomenclature of Standing Committee on Primary & Secondary Healthcare

DISSOLUTION OF STANDING COMMITTEE ON POPULATION WELFARE AND CHANGE OF NOMENCLATURE OF STANDING COMMITTEE ON PRIMARY & SECONDARY HEALTHCARE

No.PAP/Legis-1(19)/2024/324. The following Order, made by the Speaker, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab, is hereby published for general information:

“O R D E R

WHEREAS, Standing Committees of Provincial Assembly of the Punjab on “Primary and Secondary Healthcare” and “Population Welfare”, were notified vide this Secretariat Notification No.PAP/Legis-1(19)/2024/198 dated November 20, 2024 in terms of rules 148 & 150 of the Rules of Procedure of Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997.

AND WHEREAS, pursuant to an amendment in the Punjab Government Rules of Business 2011 vide S&GAD Notification No.SO(CAB-I)2-18/2018(ROB), dated March 19, 2025, “Population Welfare Department” has been merged into “Primary & Secondary Healthcare Department” with the nomenclature “Health and Population Department”.

NOW THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred on me under sub-rule (3) of Rule 148, Rules of Procedure of Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997, I, Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan, Speaker, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab hereby order that:

i)       the Standing Committee on Population Welfare shall stand dissolved with immediate effect; and

ii)     the Standing Committee on Primary and Secondary Healthcare shall stand renamed as Standing Committee on Health and Population.
