SPECIAL COMMITTEE NO. 03
No.PAP/Legis-1(19)/2024/50. During the sitting of the Assembly held on Friday, 10 May 2024, the House elected a Special Committee No.3 in terms of rule 187 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997, comprising the following:
1. Sardar Sher Ali Gorchani, Minister for Mines & Minerals Convenor
2. Mr Sohaib Ahmed Malik, Minister for Communication & Works Member
3. Mr Bilal Akbar Khan, Minister for Transport & Masstransit Member
4. Malik Ahmad Saeed Khan, MPA (PP-178) Member
5. Mr Shaukat Raja, MPA (PP-09) Member
6. Mr Amjad Ali Javed, MPA (PP-121) Member
7. Mr Shahbaz Ali Khokhar, MPA (PP-162) Member
8. Chaudhry Javed Ahmad, MPA (PP-194) Member
9. Sardar Mohammad Ali Khan, MPA (PP-02) Member
10. Mr Mushtaq Ahmed, MPA (PP-26) Member
2. The Special Committee shall deliberate on the following:
i) overloaded vehicles including vehicles loaded with extracted sand which are damaging roads across Punjab and implementation of axle load control on highways;
ii) the matters relating to Mines & Minerals Department i.e. excessive blasting, line cutting, cutting of stone and sand extraction etc.
3. The Committee may consider any other matter referred to it by the House.
4. The Special Committee may co-opt any other Member of Provincial Assembly of the Punjab whom it may deem necessary for discharge of its functions.
5. The Special Committee shall submit its report, along with its recommendations, to the Assembly within a period of one month.
