SPECIAL COMMITTEE NO. 1
No.PAP/Legis-1(22)/2018/1866. During the proceedings of the House on Monday, October 22, 2018, Mr Sajid Ahmed Khan, MPA (PP-67) moved a Privilege Motion regarding incident occurred in the House on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 in which the opposition Members belonging to PML-N disregarded the decorum of the House and the Chair. Mr Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs and several other Members supported the Privilege Motion. The mover requested the Chair that the matter may be referred to a Committee of the House.
2. On Tuesday, October 23, 2018, on a motion moved by Mr Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs, the House constituted following Special Committee No.1 in terms of rule 187 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997:

3. Special Committee No.1 shall consider the Privilege Motion moved by Mr Sajid Ahmed Khan, MPA (PP-67) and shall submit its report along with its recommendations within a period of two weeks.
4. The Committee may consider any other matter referred to it by the House till the constitution of Standing Committees.
5. The Committee may co-opt any other hon’ble Member of Provincial Assembly of the Punjab.
