SPECIAL COMMITTEE NO. 14
No.PAP/Legis-1(22)/2018/28. In exercise of all the powers enabling him in this behalf and pursuant to the mandate granted by the House during the sitting of the Assembly held on August 17, 2022, Mr Speaker has been pleased to constitute Special Committee No.14 in terms of rule 187 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997, comprising the following:
1. Mr Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Convenor
Cooperatives and Environment Protection
2. Mr Sajid Ahmed Khan, MPA (PP-67) Member
3. Sardar Muhammad Awais Dareshak, MPA (PP-296) Member
4. Mr Ahmad Khan, MPA (PP-87) Member
5. Mian Muhammad Farrukh Mumtaz Maneka, MPA (PP-191) Member
6. Syed Usman Mehmood, MPA (PP-264) Member
7. Mr Rais Nabeel Ahmad, MPA (PP-265) Member
8. Malik Nadeem Kamran, MPA (PP-197) Member
9. Mr Abdul Rehman Khan, MPA (PP-85) Member
10. Ms Sadia Sohail Rana, MPA (W-313) Member
11. Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan, MPA (PP-176) Member
2. The Special Committee shall:
i) review the current procedure adopted by the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab and Government of Punjab for disposal of Assembly Questions and suggest the improvements/ amendments in the relevant Rules of Procedure of Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997 or the Punjab Government Rules of Business 2011.
ii) propose amendments in the Rules of Procedure of Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997 for disposal of Assembly business pending from three to four years.
3. The Special Committee may co-opt any other Member of Provincial Assembly of the Punjab whom it may deem necessary for discharge of its functions.
4. The Special Committee shall submit its report to the Speaker within a period of two months.
5. The Research Officer (Legal Drafting), Provincial Assembly of the Punjab shall assist the Special Committee.
