Public Accessibility and Feedback Mechanisms Print

Enhancing public accessibility and establishing robust feedback mechanisms are essential for promoting transparency and public trust in parliamentary processes. In the Provincial Assembly of Punjab, there is a need to explore measures to make parliamentary proceedings more accessible to the public and to facilitate an interactive feedback loop between MPAs and the public.

To enhance public accessibility, we propose:

1. Measures such as live streaming of parliamentary sessions, provision of online resources, and establishment of channels for public inquiries and feedback.

2. Development of a robust feedback mechanism to facilitate interaction between the public and MPs. This includes online platforms, regular constituency engagements, and public consultations.

While sessions of the Punjab Assembly are already available to the public via a dedicated YouTube channel, these interventions will result in greater public accessibility to parliamentary proceedings and increased public engagement. Live streaming and online resources will provide citizens with real-time access to legislative activities. The feedback mechanism will enable the public to voice their concerns and provide input on legislative matters. These measures will enhance transparency, accountability, and public trust in the legislative process.
