Parliamentary Caucuses Print

Parliamentary caucuses are essential for representing diverse interests and advocating for specific issues within the legislative framework. In the Provincial Assembly of Punjab, there is a need to strengthen existing caucuses and establish new ones to ensure comprehensive representation and advocacy for various societal groups.

To empower parliamentary caucuses, we propose the establishment and strengthening of several key caucuses

1. The Women Parliamentary Caucus

2. Youth Parliamentary Association

3. Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Secretariat and Task Force

4. Minority Caucus.

These caucuses will be provided with platforms to advocate for their respective issues, organize events, workshops, and mentorship programs, and engage in policy discussions.

Strengthened parliamentary caucuses will lead to more inclusive and representative legislative processes. The Women Parliamentary Caucus will advocate for gender equality and women's rights, the Youth Parliamentary Association will engage young leaders in parliamentary processes, the SDGs Secretariat will promote the implementation of sustainable development goals, and the Minority Caucus will ensure the representation of minority groups. These efforts will result in more balanced and inclusive policy-making.
