A MINISTER to lay the Audit Report by the Auditor General of Pakistan on Accounts of Government of the Punjab, Audit Report Civil (Expenditure) for the year 2015-16.
2. LAYING OF ANNUAL REPORT OF THE PUNJAB COMMISSION ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN FOR THE YEAR 2016

3. LAYING OF ANNUAL REPORTS OF THE PUNJAB JUDICIAL ACADEMY FOR THE YEARS 2009-10, 2010-11, 2011-12, 2012-13, 2013-14 AND 2014-15

Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool ﷺ.
Question Hour
Questions relating to Environment Protection and Population Welfare Departments were on the agenda. Questions relating to Environment Protection Department were taken up and Ms. Zakia Shah Nawaz Khan, Minister for Environment Protection answered the questions. However, questions relating to Population Welfare Department could not be taken up and were kept pending till Monday, 18 September, 2017 as concerned Minister/Parliamentary Secretary was absent.
Call Attention Notice
The Call Attention Notice of Mr. Muhammad Sibtain Khan regarding murder of Muhammad Sarwar, Police Constable by the dacoits at Rehman Pura, Lahore near Seam Nala, was disposed of as the mover was not present.
Extension in Time Limit for Laying the Reports
On a Motion moved by Mr. Zafar Iqbal, the House granted two months extension to the Standing Committee on Livestock & Dairy Development for laying its report on the Punjab Animal Slaughter Control (Amendment) Bill 2016 (Bill No. 5 of 2016) moved by Dr Nausheen Hamid, MPA (W-356).
On a Motion moved by Ch. Abdul Razzaq Dhillon, the House granted one month extension to the Standing Committee on Local Government & Community Development for laying its reports in respect of the following:
1. Starred Question No.3158 asked by Mr Shahzad Munshi, MPA (NM-369); and
2. Starred Question No.3620 asked by Dr Muhammad Afzal, MPA (PP-276).
Adjournment Motions
Four Adjournment Motions were taken up. The Motion moved by Dr. Syed Waseem Akhtar that some legal procedure should be adopted for the sale and use of black stone in Bahawalpur and attached areas which is poisonous and dangerous for human health and Punjab Drug Authority should have to play effective role in its curtailment, the Motion moved by Mian Mehmood ur Rashid regarding corruption of millions of rupees at Motor Registration Authority Lahore where registration of thousands of vehicles on fake Navy auction documents has been exposed, the Motion moved by Ms. Khadija Umar regarding delay in completion of surgical tower at Mayo Hospital, Lahore due to sluggish and negligent behavior of C&W Department and the last Motion moved by Ms. Hina Pervaiz Butt regarding open sale of substandard ghee and cooking oil injurious to health in Nankana Sahib and District Administration is completely incapable to stop its sale, were kept pending till next week.
Suspension of Rules
On a motion moved by Mr. Khalil Tahir Sandhu, Minister for Human Rights & Minorities Affairs under Rule 234 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab, 1997, the House granted leave to suspend Rule 115 and others of the Rules ibid, for taking up the following Resolution:
Resolution
Mr. Khalil Tahir Sandhu, Minister for Human Rights & Minorities Affairs moved the resolution paying glowing tributes and praising the services and achievements of Dr. Ruth Pfau, a noted social worker who devoted her life for the eradication of Leprosy from Pakistan and struggled selflessly for decades fighting against this disease, was unanimously passed by the House.
At this stage, the quorum was pointed out and the House was then adjourned at 01:50 p.m. to meet on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 9:00 a.m.
