TILAWAT, NAAT & NATIONAL ANTHEM

The sitting commenced with recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation, followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool ﷺ and National Anthem.

 

FATEHA

The House offered Fateha on the sad demise of maternal uncle of Mr Muhmmad Kazim Pirzada (Minister for Irrigation), Sajjad Hussain Pirzada elder brother of Mr Riaz Pirzada and maternal aunt of MPA Mr Sajjad Ahmad.

 

RESOLUTIONS

·       Mr Ahsan Raza Khan moved a resolution that condemned the recent attack on former Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa, demanding accountability for those involved and urged the government to take strict legal action to uphold Pakistan's dignity and ethical values. The House adopted the resolution.

 

·       Ms Raheela Khadim Hussain moved a resolution demanding an increase in the number of deserving Christian beneficiaries from 10,000 to 20,000 and a raise in the Christmas grant from Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 15,000 per person in Punjab. The House unanimously adopted the resolution.

Mr Usama Asghar Ali Gujjar moved his motion that Punjab’s paramedics were granted a 4-tier promotion structure in 2011 but the Government unlawfully revoked it in 2019, demoting them. Now they request for justice.

Chaudhry Muhammad Ejaz Shafi moved a motion that Khanpur’s dialysis center has no machines or doctors— forcing poor patients to travel far. Despite assembly debates, authorities ignored this crisis, sparking public anger.

Mr Muhammad Shoaib Siddiqui moved a motion that Lahore’s parking crisis worsens as no new parking plazas are built since 2012.

اس ایوان کی رائے ہے کہ اختلاف رائے کسی بھی جمہوری  معاشرے کا  حسن ہے اور لوگوں کا بنیادی حق ہے۔ مہذب معاشروں میں اختلاف اور احتجاج  اخلاقی حدوو میں رہ کر کیا جاتا ہےمگر افسوس  ہمارے معاشرے میں کچھ عرصے سے یہ رواج عام ہوتا جا رہاہے کہ اختلاف رائے رکھنے والوں کو ذاتی دشمن سمجھا جانے لگا ہے، اخلاقیات کی حدود پامال کرتے ہوئے اظہار رائے کیا جاتا ہے۔ اس سلسلے کی ایک کڑی گزشتہ روز کا واقعہ ہے جس میں سابق چیف جسٹس آف پاکستان جناب قاضی فائز عیسٰی پر ایک گروہ حملہ آور ہوا جس کی کسی صورت میں اجازت نہیں دی جا سکتی۔ چندعادی شرپسندوں نے قاضی فائز عیسٰی اور انکے اہل خانہ جو کہ پاکستان ہائی کمیشن کی گاڑی میں جارہے تھےپر حملہ کیا اور ان کے اس رویے سےپاکستانی قوم کے بارے میں بیرونی دنیا میں یہ پیغام  گیا کہ یہ لوگ تمام قانونی و اخلاقی اقدار سے نا آشنا ہیں اس طر ح یہ لوگ پوری قوم کی بدنامی کا باعث بنے۔ 

یہ ایوان اس واقعہ کی پرزور مذمت کرتا ہے اور حکومت پاکستان سے  مطالبہ کرتا ہے کہ اس واقعہ میں ملوث تمام افراد کا محاسبہ کیا جائے کیونکہ یہ حملہ ایک شخص پر نہیں کیا گیا بلکہ یہ پاکستان کے وقار پر حملہ ہے اسکی باقاعدہ منصوبہ بندی کی گئی تھی اور ایک سیاسی جماعت کے چند انتشار پسند عناصر کی جانب سے  سوشل میڈیا پلیٹ فارمز پر اس سلسلے میں گزشتہ ایک ہفتے سے کال دی جارہی تھی۔

یاد رہے کہ قاضی فائز عیسٰی کو مڈل ٹیمپل میں جس اعزاز سے نوازا گیا وہ پاکستان کے لیے ایک اعزاز کی بات ہے کیونکہ دنیائے قانون میں ایک نہایت اہمیت کے حامل ادارے نے انہیں اپنے سب سے اعلٰی منصب پر فائز کرکے اس اعزاز سے نوازا ہے۔

لہذا یہ ایوان وفاقی حکومت سے اس امر کی سفارش کرتا ہے کہ اس واقعہ میں ملوث افراد کے خلاف سخت  قانونی کارروائی کی جائے اور اس سلسلے میں حکومت برطانیہ سے اس معاملے کو اُٹھا  کر ذمہ داران کے خلاف مقدمہ درج کروایا جائے۔

پنجاب میں مسیحیوں کی تعداد 28 لاکھ سے زائد ہے ہرسال حکومت پنجاب کرسمس پر 10 ہزار مستحق لوگوں کو گفٹ کی صورت میں چیک دیتی ہے جو اُن کی تعداد کے لحاظ سے نا کافی ہے۔لہذا یہ ایوان اس بات کا مطالبہ کرتا ہے کہ مستحق لوگوں کی تعداد کو 10 ہزار سے بڑھاکر 20 ہزار کیا جائے۔
