Mr Mujtaba Shuja Ur Rehman, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, moved a resolution that the 26^th Constitutional Amendment in Pakistan has been passed, fulfilling the Charter of Democracy agenda. The leadership of Pakistan Muslim League, Pakistan Peoples’ Party and other allied parties contributed to its completion. A parliamentary committee was formed, but PTI members boycotted the amendment. The House adopted the resolution. The opposition staged walk out.

Mr Mehmood Ahmad moved a notice regarding Rs. 500 million sewerage scheme in Liaquatpur Rahim Yar Khan District, was revised to reward contractors, resulting in corruption.

Post Budget Discussion

Following recent amendments in the Rules of Procedure 1997, Post budget discussion was held for the first time in the history of Punjab Assembly. Mr Mujtaba Shuja Ur Rehman, Minister for Finance and Parliamentary Affairs, initiated the discussion. The members who participated in the discussion include: Mr Faisal Jamil, Muhammad Nadeem Qureshi, Mr Nadeem Sadiq Dogar, Mr Ahsan Raza and Mr Mushtaq Ahmed.
