The sitting commenced with recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation, followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool.

QUESTION HOUR

Questions relating to Local Government and Community Development were asked and answered by Mr Zeeshan Rafique, Minister for Local Government and Community Development.

WELCOME

Mr Speaker welcomed Mr Jaspal Singh (ex-IAS officer) and Madam Ayesha for coming and witnessing the proceedings of the House. Mr Ramesh Singh Arora gave a welcome speech for the honourable guests and appreciated the work done by them for restoring Sikh shrines in Punjab.

ZERO HOUR NOTICE

 

Two Zero Hour Notices were taken up:

 

1.       

Ms Uzma Kardar moved her notice regarding a woman named Sana, resident of Lahore, who was harassed by a person named Imran and his associates and both phone and cash were snatched from her in boundaries of Thekriwala’s police station Faisalabad. Despite the case registered, the police vindicated the accused rather than arresting them and threatened dire consequences to Ms Sana and her family.

Kept pending for further investigation.

2.       

Mr Amjad Ali Javed moved his notice raising the issue of vaccinators who performed duties during Corona outbreak in district Toba Tek Singh and were not compensated by the government despite the lapse of two years.

Kept pending for further information.

PRIVILGE MOTION

Mr Amjad Ali Javed moved his motion regarding monitoring and improving the initiatives taken by the Chief Minister in Health department by the elected representatives by visiting hospitals, their administration and listening to patient complaints. Arrogant with authority and power, Secretary Health ordered to keep record of visiting MPAs in order to threaten them through NAB and Anti-Corruption. Also, during a ceremony, in the presence of Provincial Health Minister, Secretary ordered officers and officials not to follow any recommendations of MPAs and to keep these in custody so that it can be used against them when necessary.

Referred to Committee on Privileges for investigation and report.

RESOLUTION

The following resolution was moved:

On Defense Day, the House declares 6 September a day of national importance, honoring Pakistan's brave defense against Indian aggression during the 1965 Indo-Pak war. It pays tribute to the soldiers and martyrs who fought for the country's sovereignty and integrity. The House also praises the Pakistan Army, Navy, and Air Force for their role in protecting national borders and ensuring peace. The House pledges to stand by the brave forces in any future security threats and provide all possible support for freedom and independence.

The resolution was unanimously adopted by the House.

General Discussion on Law & Order and Price Hike was pended till next sitting.

صوبائی اسمبلی پنجاب کہ یہ ایوان آج یوم دفاع کے موقع پر قرار دیتاہے کہ 6ستمبر قومی اہمیت کا حامل ایسادن ہےجو1965کی پاک بھارت جنگ کے دوران بھارتی جارحیت کے خلاف پاکستان کے دلیرانہ دفاع کی قابل فخرمثال ہے۔یہ ایوان پاکستان کی مسلح افواج کے بہادر جوانوں کو خراج تحسین پیش کرتا ہے جنہوں نے بے مثال بہادری اور جرأت کا مظاہرہ کرکے وطن عزیز کی خودمختاری اور سالمیت کا دفاع کیا۔یہ ایوان مادر وطن پر جان نثار کرنے والے شہداء اور ان کے خاندانوں کو زبردست خراج عقیدت پیش کرتاہے۔ستمبر1965کے ان تاریخ سازدنوں میں پاکستان کی عوام نے اپنی مسلح افواج کی بھر پورحمایت اور حوصلہ افزائی کرکےبے مثال اتحاد کا مظاہرہ کیا۔یہ ایوان ملکی سرحدوں کی حفاظت اور امن وسلامتی کو یقینی بنانے میں پاکستان کی بری،بحری،اور فضائی افواج کے کردار کو سلام پیش کرتاہے۔یہ ایوان اس عزم کا بھی اظہار کرتاہے کہ آئندہ بھی اگر ملکی سلامتی کو کوئی خطرہ درپیش ہواتوپوری پاکستانی قوم اپنی بہادر افواج کے شانہ بشانہ کھڑی ہوگی اور پاکستان کی آزادی اور خود مختاری کے تحفظ کے لئے ان کی ہرممکن حمایت اور تعاون جاری رکھے گی۔
