(a) MOTION UNDER RULE 127 OF THE RULES OF PROCEDURE OF PROVINCIAL ASSEMBLY OF THE PUNJAB 1997
A MINISTER to move that leave be granted to move Resolutions under Article 128(2)(a) of the Constitution for extension of the following Ordinances:
1 The Punjab Civil Servants (Amendment) Ordinance 2023 (I of 2024).
2 The Police Order (Amendment) Ordinance 2023 (II of 2024).
3 The Punjab Agricultural Marketing Regulatory Authority (Amendment) Ordinance 2023 (III of 2024).
(b) RESOLUTION UNDER ARTICLE 128(2)(a) OF THE CONSTITUTION
1. RESOLUTION FOR EXTENSION OF THE PUNJAB CIVIL SERVANTS (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE 2023 (I OF 2024)
A MINISTER to move that the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab extends the period of validity of the Punjab Civil Servants (Amendment) Ordinance 2023 (I of 2024), promulgated on 8th January 2024, for a further period of ninety days with effect from 7th April 2024.
2. RESOLUTION FOR EXTENSION OF THE POLICE ORDER (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE 2023 (II OF 2024)
A MINISTER to move that the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab extends the period of validity of the Police Order (Amendment) Ordinance 2023 (II of 2024), promulgated on 11th January 2024, for a further period of ninety days with effect from 10th April 2024.
3. RESOLUTION FOR EXTENSION OF THE PUNJAB AGRICULTURAL MARKETING REGULATORY AUTHORITY (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE 2023 (III OF 2024)
A MINISTER to move that the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab extends the period of validity of the Punjab Agricultural Marketing Regulatory Authority (Amendment) Ordinance 2023 (III of 2024), promulgated on 24th January 2024, for a further period of ninety days with effect from 23rd April 2024.

Motion moved by Mr Aftab Ahmad Khan that patients are facing difficulties to get operated in Faisalabad Allied Hospital, where 21 out of 28 machines are out of order, hence, 35 operation theaters are not operational. Only 20 % patients were able to get treatment, while 80 % were referred to other cities for the treatment. |

GOVERNMENT BUSINESS
Extension of Ordinances On a motion moved by Mr. Khalil Tahir, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, the House granted leave to move resolutions under Article 128(2) (a) of the Constitution for extension in the period of validity of the following Ordinances for a further period of ninety days from the date of their expiry: 1. The Punjab Civil Servants (Amendment) Ordinance 2023 (I of 2024). 2. The Police Order (Amendment) Ordinance 2023 (II of 2024). 3. The Punjab Agricultural Marketing Regulatory Authority (Amendment) Ordinance 2023 (III of 2024). The Minister for Parliamentary Affairs moved the Resolutions thereafter which were adopted by the House. |
