DISCUSSION AND VOTING ON SUPPLEMENTARY DEMANDS FOR GRANTS 2022-2023

Mr. Mujtaba Shuja Ur Rehman, Minister for Finance concluded general discussion on Supplementary Budget for the year 2022-23.

 

Out of 40 Supplementary Demands for Grants for the fiscal year 2022-2023, cut motions were received in five Demands from the Opposition Members; these Demands include: Irrigation and Land Reclamation, Police, Education, Civil Works and Communications.

 

The Minister for Finance moved these Supplementary Demands for Grants. Cut motions were moved in them and discussed by Ms Ashifa Riaz, Ms Saima Kanwal, Mr Hassan Ali, Ch Muhammad EJaz Shafi, MPAs. The cut motions were voted out and the Supplementary Demands for Grants were assented to by the Assembly.

 

The remaining Demands for Grants were assented to by the House after application of Rule 144 of the Rules of Procedure of Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997.
