1. THE PUNJAB SKILLS DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY BILL 2018 (BILL No. 31 of 2018)
RESUMPTION OF CLAUSE-BY-CLAUSE consideration (from Clause 5) of the Punjab Skills Development Authority Bill 2018.
A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Skills Development Authority Bill 2018, be passed.
2. THE PUNJAB TECHNICAL EDUCATION AND VOCATIONAL TRAINING AUTHORITY (AMENDMENT) BILL 2018 (BILL No. 32 of 2018)
A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (Amendment) Bill 2018, as recommended by Special Committee No.1, be taken into consideration at once.
A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (Amendment) Bill 2018, be passed.
3. THE PUNJAB BOARD OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION (AMENDMENT) BILL 2018 (BILL No. 33 of 2018)
A MINISTER to move that the Board of Technical Education (Amendment) Bill 2018, as recommended by Special Committee No.1, be taken into consideration at once.

Announcement by Mr Speaker regarding arrest of Mr. Abdul Aleem Khan, MPA
“Mr Muhammad Mazhar Javed, Additional Director, office of Director General NAB, Lahore vide his letter dated 19 February 2019, has communicated intimation about arrest of Mr Abdul Aleem Khan, MPA (PP-158), as required under rule 77 of Rules of Procedure of Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997. The intimation is as under:
“It is apprised that inquiry against Mr Abdul Aleem Khan, Politician / Owner of HEXAM investment Overseas Ltd and Others is under process in this Bureau, duly authorized by the Competent Authority under the provisions of National Accountability Ordinance, 1999.
The Competent Authority has issued Warrant of Arrest in respect of Mr Abdul Aleem Khan s/o Mr Abdul Rahim Khan, Member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in the subject case.
It is intimated that, NAB Lahore has executed the said Warrant of Arrest and has arrested Mr Abdul Aleem Khan on 6th February 2019”.
Question Hour
Questions relating to Home Department were asked and Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs replied to the questions in terms of Notification issued by S&GAD empowering him to look after the Assembly Business and to reply to the Assembly questions.
The Chair welcomed “Inter-Parliamentary Exchange for Parliamentary Reforms” delegation to the House comprising Senate, National Assembly, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan Assemblies.
Call Attention Notices
Two Call Attention Notices were taken up. The Notice moved by Ms. Azma Zahid Bokhari regarding murder of Mr. Shafaqat alias Puppo Butt by the dacoits at Samanabad Police Station, Faisalabad and the second Notice of Mr. Muhammad Afzal regarding assassination of three people at Tehsil Ferozwala, District Sheikhupura, were disposed of after replied by Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.
Adjournment Motions
Three Adjournment Motions were taken up. The Motion moved by Choudhary Ashraf Ali regarding installation of 366 sub-standard boilers at various factories in Gujranwala region endangering the lives of residents, the second Motion moved by Mr. Aman Ullah Warraich regarding illegal occupation of two kanals land of Government Girls High School, Ladaywala Warraich, Tehsil & District Gujranwala, were kept pending and the third Motion moved Ms. Momina Waheed regarding increased crime rate in Rawalpindi during July 2018 to January 2019, as per information shared on social media, was disposed of after replied by Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.
Suspension of Rules
Syed Ali Haider Gilani moved a Motion under Rule 234 of Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab, 1997, to suspend Rule 115 and other relevant Rules of the Rules ibid, for taking up a Resolution against the arrest of Agha Siraj Khan Durrani, Speaker, Sindh Assembly by the NAB officials was not passed.
At this stage, the quorum was pointed out at 03:25 p.m. After ringing bells for five minutes the House was still inquorate and the Chair adjourned the House at 03:30 p.m. to meet on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 09:00 a.m.
